A couple times while mowing last year, I would turn the tractor off and then go to start and it would do the same thing.
I THINK my problem is with the interlock on the foward / reverse pedals (this is a Hydro tractor). I also checked the switch with my multimeter and it works. When I sit in the seat and turn the key, I hear the loud click and when I get up I hear the click again if the key is on. I am thinking that some interlock has me locked out. I even cut on the headlights and they do not dim or anything when I move to the start position. I know that you can have this with no load, so I left the multimeter on and tried to start, still 12V. I first thought battery so I got my mulimeter out and I have 12V on the battery. NOTHING! I made sure the PTO's were disengaged and tried again. I heated the tractor by pushing in the key and then moved to the start position. I have not used the tractor since Novemeber and went out last night to start to use the boom pole to set a motor out of a truck. I have owned this tractor for about 2 years now. I have a problem starting my JD4300 and was hoping to get some help.
